Solos, Duos and Graceful are for students wanting to compete at a high skill level. Competitions are held early in the year between March and June and are determined by age. Please be aware that students wishing to participate in SDGs are required to have achieved a certain Pupil Skill exam level.
Competing in Solos, Duos and Graceful is in addition to club work and all pupils wanting to participate must also show complete commitment and dedication to their teamwork. Undertaking a solo or duo work can be an excellent opportunity to further develop a student's skills and exposure to additional coaching techniques, though the workload, pressure and commitment (both in terms of finances and time) is considerable and should not be overlooked when assessing if your child is ready for this additional challenge. Please understand costs involved are additional to your teamwork’s term fees and can be estimated to be around $1000-$1500 by the time you pay for hall hire, coaches fees, costumes, travel and accommodation. To compete in a solo or duo a pupil must also compete in a team within the same year.
