Michele Pink

Principal Coach (Level 1)

Michele started calisthenics at the age of 4 at Merinda Calisthenic College Inc and continued calisthenics there for the next 20 years, from Tinies through to Seniors. She is now the Principal Coach at Rosemore Calisthenics Dance College Inc. which she took over at the end of 2015. Michele has been involved in teaching all sections at Rosemore and in 2020, was appointed as Head Coach of the Queensland Junior State Team, unfortunately due to covid the competition could not go ahead.

Michele has completed all of her pupil skill exams and went on to complete her Bronze and Silver Medals. She has also competed in the Graceful solo competitions and was part of the Calisthenics Victoria State Team for three consecutive years. Michele was an assistant coach of the Senior Team at Merinda, and her family have been passionately involved in calisthenics for as long as she can remember!

Michele is also an Accredited Practising Dietitian and is a certified coach in Progressing Ballet Technique and Acrobatics. Michele has enjoyed her move to Brisbane and is very excited to bring all she knows and loves to help grow calisthenics in QLD.

Leah Kellaway

Principal Coach (Level 1) & Adjudicator

Leah began calisthenics at age 3 in South Australia where she competed from Tinies through to Seniors and completed her Level 1 coaching course before moving to Queensland in 1997.

Leah has represented South Australia and Queensland as a competitor for both graceful solos and state teams. She has coached Intermediate and Senior teams to represent Queensland at National Calisthenics competitions. She has also coached Queensland teams who have competed at Royal South Street in Ballarat.

Leah has been involved with Rosemore calisthenics for many years. Her favourite items to choreograph are Graceful solos, Aesthetics and Clubs.

Leah is a qualified calisthenics adjudicator, having completed her cadetship in 2017.

Leah has a passion for animal welfare and currently manages the Greyhound Adoption Program Qld.

Jen Phillips

Principal Coach (Level 1)

Jen started calisthenics in 1996 at Chadstone Calisthenics Club and instantly fell in love with the sport. She competed in both team competitions and solos until she moved to North Queensland in 2003 with her family. Here she participated in various dance styles including jazz, tap, hip hop and musical theatre as there was no calisthenics available.

After a nine-year break, Jen returned to calisthenics in 2012 with a refreshed excitement and competed as a senior at Rosemore Calisthenics, in addition to being part of the 2016 Senior Queensland State Team. She gained her level 1 coaching qualification in 2016 and is thoroughly enjoying coaching at Rosemore Calisthenics Dance College Inc. and all it has to offer, including passing on her passion and skills to the next calisthenics generation.

Jen is an Assistant Professor of Physiotherapy at Bond University and also works clinically two days a week at the Wesley Hospital here in Brisbane. Jen has a passion for strength and conditioning and brings a wealth of knowledge to her coaching.

Laura Singleton

Level 1 Coach

Laura has been involved in calisthenics since she was five years old, attending her cousin's 'Bring  A Friend' day, she was immediately hooked and has never looked back. Laura has competed at Championship level back in Victoria with Robynmore Calisthenics and St Marks Calisthenics. She also has represented Victoria as part of the State Team on two occasions. 

Laura was an assistant coach for ten years while she completed her studies in Genetics and Microbiology,  with her new career, came a move to Brisbane. Since moving to Brisbane, Laura has been able to develop her coaching career.

Caitlin Gates

Level 1 Coach

Caitlin started calisthenics at the age of 7 at Del Sante Gardens Calisthenics Club in South Australia up until she moved to Queensland 6 years later. She then continued her calisthenics journey competing with Helensvale Calisthenics Dance Academy for five years while coaching at Rosemore Calisthenics College.  Caitlin has recently joined the River City Cali Dance Studio seniors team, while continuing to coach at Rosemore.  Caitlin has completed all of her pupil skill exams while competing in Graceful and Solo competitions most years. Caitlin also represented Queensland at Nationals in 2016. Caitlin is very excited to continue coaching at Rosemore Calisthenics Dance College Inc.

Alysha Amor

Level 1 Coach

Alysha started Calisthenics in 1999 at Del Sante Gardens Calisthenics College in South Australia. As an intermediate Alysha moved to Highbury Calisthenics Club where she was able to compete in the championship division. Alysha has completed all her pupil skills exams. Throughout the years of doing Calisthenics, Alysha always strived to be the best she could be and represented her state five times. She achieved her goal of representing South Australia at National Championships 2 years in a row.

During her calisthenics career, Alysha has been coached by over 15 different coaches. Alysha has assisted six different head coaches with their teams, and throughout this time, she has been able to learn about different coaching styles and refine her technique to pass onto other students.

Outside Alysha’s Calisthenics career, she has always had a passion for dance and has trained in Ballet, Jazz, Hip- Hop and Contemporary styles. She hopes having a range of different techniques up her sleeve will help with her choreography, and being able to get the best out of her students. Alysha has a passion for helping others succeed in life and is excited to start coaching others to reach their goals.

Melissa Murray

Level 1 Coach

Melissa started calisthenics at the age of 3. For 26 years she participated in Victoria at Montrose Calisthenics Club, Fernleigh Calisthenics Club, and Ellanda Calisthenics College. Her highlight during this time was winning the CVI State championship and runners-up at Royal South Street, Ballarat, in the same year.

In 1994 Melissa started her coaching journey where she became a class assistant and went on to be an assistant coach at Fernleigh Calisthenics Club and Ellanda Calisthenics College. In 2008 Melissa sadly stepped away from calisthenics due to a move overseas.

After a 9 year break and a move to Brisbane, she sparked up her love for the sport and became an assistant coach and master at Rosemore Calisthenics Dance College and in 2018 Melissa gained her level 1 coaching accreditation.

Melissa has taught in all age groups from Tiny Tots to Seniors and loves sharing her love of the sport and that it has taught her so much more than just dance.
